New trash recycling rules

October 29th, 2010

New, simpler rules for trash and recycling

Starting immediately, you may ………….

1. Continue to put trash in one bag (or more if necessary);
2. Place all recyclables in one CLEAR plastic bag (or more if necessary).

No longer is it necessary to separate paper and cardboard from cans and bottles!
We think you will be pleased by this innovation from EL Harvey.

If you have questions, call Al Sanborn at 508-839-5596.

Important Notice about Water Pressure

October 11th, 2010

Caution (IMPORTANT)

Some residents have discovered that several units in the community have water pressure in excess of the Plumbing Code’s maximum limit. The exception may be if your unit is near the highest elevations at Hilltop Farms.

If your unit is at a lower elevation (for example, Buttercup Ln cul-de-sac/Tulip circle/higher #s of Cherry Ln) the pressure is significantly higher, some with as much as 50% above Code.

With the higher pressure there is the risk of various failures such as faucets, toilets, water-heaters, washing machines, dishwashers and refrigerators with ice making.

For the safety of your unit, it is recommended that you contact at least two plumbers and ask them to (a) test your pressure and (b) install a pressure regulator on your line, if needed.

Feel free to share the results in the website “Forums”
