Make sure to test your smoke detectors frequently. Also, batteries should be tested or changed annually. If your smoke detector is making a beeping sound, it means that the battery is dying. Replace the battery as soon as possible. Remember that there are also smoke detectors in your garage. Many people have heard beeps coming from open garages, meaning there are batteries that are dying. This in not only annoying, but very dangerous. Please do your part to help keep our community safe.

The only holidays on Friday this year will be Christmas and New Years Day 2010. We will be doing pickup on Saturday, December 26, 2009 and Saturday, January 2, 2010. Please have customers have all trash out by 7:00 a.m.

You can dispose of your Christmas tree for free at the town yard waste site. Drive north Route 122, then left on Millbury Street a few hundred yards to the town’s yard waste site (on your left). They will be open 9:00 – 1:00 only.
